HVAC & Furnace Cleaning

How it works and what you get.

Why clean the furnace, not just the ducts

Your furnace’s blower wheel pushes every bit of air in your home through the system. When its blades get coated with dust, it moves less air and works harder to do the same job. Dust on the cabinet and on accessible coil surfaces has the same effect. Cleaning your ducts without cleaning the blower leaves one of the dirtiest parts of the system untouched.

What's included

  • Blower assembly and blower wheel cleaned
  • Furnace cabinet vacuumed and wiped down
  • Accessible evaporator coil surfaces cleaned
  • Return plenum and filter area cleaned
  • Fresh filter installed

Signs your system needs it

  • Weak airflow from the vents
  • The system runs longer than it used to
  • Dust blows out when the furnace or AC starts
  • A dusty, burning smell at the start of heating season

Best time to schedule

Early fall, before heating season, and spring, before AC season, are ideal. Combine it with an air duct cleaning to get the whole system clean in one visit.

All services

Four ways to cleaner air.

One visit can cover the ducts, the dryer vent and the furnace itself.

Air Duct Cleaning

We seal the system, put the whole duct run under negative air pressure, and agitate every branch so years of dust, pet hair and construction debris leave the house instead of the vents.

Dryer Vent Cleaning

Packed lint is a leading cause of dryer fires and long drying cycles. We clean the full run to the exterior flap and check airflow at the hood when we're done.

HVAC & Furnace Cleaning

A dirty blower wheel and coil make your furnace and AC work harder. We clean the cabinet, blower assembly and accessible coil surfaces and swap in a fresh filter.

Sanitizing & Mold Treatment

After cleaning, we fog the ductwork with an EPA-registered antimicrobial to treat odor, mildew and bacteria. Ideal after water damage, a new pet, or moving into an older home.

AfterBefore
How a cleaning works

Five steps. No mess left behind.

01

Inspect

Camera look inside your ducts so you see what we see before any work starts.

02

Protect

Floors covered, registers sealed, and the system put under negative air pressure.

03

Agitate

Rotary brushes and air whips break debris loose from every branch line.

04

Extract

Loosened dust is pulled out of the house through a HEPA-filtered collector.

05

Verify

Before-and-after photos, a fresh filter, and airflow checked at the registers.

Questions

Good to know.

Is furnace cleaning the same as a tune-up?

No. A tune-up checks the mechanical and safety parts of your furnace. Our cleaning focuses on removing dust and debris from the blower, cabinet and coil areas. Many homeowners do both.

Do you replace the filter?

Yes. We install a fresh filter when we finish.

Can you clean both the furnace and AC coil?

We clean the accessible coil surfaces as part of the service and will let you know if anything needs a technician's attention.
